The Iberian Lynx

The Iberian Lynx is endangered, in 2002, there were less than 100. Now, in 2017 there are about 400 of them.

Research proves that the Iberian Lynx's genetic has almost not changed during the past 5,000 years. This means that why it is endangerd is not due to his genetic. It is due to the fact that their favourite prey are rabbits and they are also disappearing as we hunt them. People also illegally hunt them to sell their skin. This makes that they are disapeaing.

In 2016, 7 Iberian lynx were killed in car accidents in Andalucia (south of Spain).
